Hi,
I’m Desiree, an herbalist, homeschool mother, and earth mama at heart. With three wild and wonderful boys and my husband by my side; our home is filled with love, a little bit of crazy, and the magic of plant medicine.

I grew up in Southern California, with Black, Mexican, and Irish roots. My love for nature was ignited at a Quaker boarding school in Nevada City California, where I ran barefoot (and sometimes naked!) through the woods, feeling the deep connection between myself and Mother Nature. It was the first time I truly felt wild, free and connected to the heartbeat of the land. 

My journey into herbalism truly deepened when I became pregnant with our first son Fox. An innate wisdom awakened in me; the knowing that plants are our birthright, our allies, and our deepest connection to the earth. I leaned into this practice with my whole being, learning to nourish myself, and my growing family through the wisdom of the green world.

I believe herbalism is for everyone. Herbalism is a birthright. It's about sovereignty, rewilding, reclaiming, and remembering that Mother Nature has always taken care of us. Remembering that healing isn't always complicated. Sometimes it's right here growing between the cracks in the sidewalk whispering from the roots.

I'm deeply in love with the idea of sharing this knowledge to help families nourish themselves, their children, and their spirits in the most natural beautiful way possible.

Wild Wolf Apothecary is my love letter to the plants, to the people, to the magic of everyday medicine.
